About Rodef Sholom Temple

A Warm, Welcoming Congregation…

Rodef Sholom Temple is steeped in the rich traditions of Conservative Judaism offering a wide variety of spiritual, educational, cultural, and social programs. Our services are egalitarian and participatory. While we reserve certain ritual honors for the Jewish members of our congregational family, non-Jewish family members enjoy a wide variety of opportunities to learn about and engage in many social, educational, and religious activities.

Shabbat is welcomed with a festive Kabbalat service and Oneg Shabbat. After Saturday services, a Kiddush luncheon is sponsored by Sisterhood. Tot Shabbat and Junior Congregation programs encourage the participation of our children. Morning services are held Monday and Thursday at 7:45, followed by breakfast where everyone can relax and “schmooze” prior to work or play. Congregational dinners provide opportunities to experience Shabbat and holidays as a community.

Our religious school provides classes for students in grades Early Childhood-10. Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation students receive intensive instruction from Rabbi. We offer local and regional Kadima and USY youth activities. This year, Rabbi will teach “Walking With History.”

The Gemillut Hassidim committee performs “acts of loving kindness,” assisting members who are ill, convalescing, or mourning. Transportation is available for members to attend services or activities.

Sisterhood funds our meals, provides pulpit flowers, supervises the kosher kitchens, maintains the library and Judaica shop, and much much more.  Men’s Club offers the opportunity to study with Rabbi and participate in various social and fundraising events.

Rodef Sholom Temple is committed to the creative integration of traditional Judaism and contemporary American life. Please visit or call to learn more.
