Why Create a Jewish Legacy for Rodef Sholom Temple?
Donors who have created planned gifts for Rodef Sholom include:
Abe & Ernestine Firestone
Rodef Sholom Temple is an important part of Abe and Ernestine Firestone’s life. Abe, a Navigator in the Army Air Corp was assigned in 1944 to Langley Field in Hampton for further training before being sent overseas. On Rosh Hashanah he attended services at Rodef Sholom Temple. It was there on that day he met Ernestine, a member since her birth in 1926. But soon after their meeting, they were forced to part when Abe was ordered overseas and assigned to the 8th Air Force in England. During Abe’s deployment, Ernestine finished her nursing degree. By 1947, Abe had returned from abroad and he and Ernestine were married at the Temple. In the years since, their family has partaken of all of their life cycle events and activities at Rodef Sholom.
Secure Rodef Sholom Temple’s Future With A Planned Gift Or Endowment
Jewish tradition teaches that one of our key duties is to make the world a better place for future generations. The simple truth is membership dues alone cannot prepare us for the future needs of our Temple. It is essential we plan ahead and create endowments to keep our Jewish community strong for generations.
Creating a gift now will secure the stability and continuation of Rodef Sholom providing for the education of our children, caring for our elderly and assuring that the Jewish traditions and culture we hold dear will live on and flourish. Whether you use a will or other estate planning vehicle your generosity can do a world of good.
